Make envelopes with our M&F and IMP Boards
Envelope Making instructions using the M & F and Multiscore IMP Boards:
Tip - To create envelopes for your special cards the 'wallet' shape
is
quick and economical.
Tip - For a luxurious look use pearlised, patterned or handmade paper.
Or use vellum and tie with a satin ribbon.

Cut envelope paper 6 cms (2½“) wider than finished width of greetings card and at least 2½ times deeper.

Place card in top left corner of envelope paper and mark paper at bottom edge of card.

Move card across to top right corner and mark paper at bottom edge of card again as shown.

Line up marks on any groove and score.

Fold up and flatten the scored line.

Line up opening edge of envelope along groove 4 and score groove 5. Fold and flatten scored line.

Open envelope paper out flat.

Place a long edge to Butt Bar and score groove 1.

Rotate paper and score groove 1 on other long edge.
(The shorter section will form the envelope flap.)

Cut along scored line 1 on long edges to remove excess as shown.

Use an oval or circle punch to punch opening edge.

Cut pattern along flap if you wish.

Make an envelope lining and adhere at this stage if you wish.

If lining your envelope punch along flap for extra decoration.
